The house is the dream start for magnificent hikes
on the Caroux massif (bucolic walks at the foot of the massif or sporty
hikes, see very sporty)
or swimming in the gorges (10 minutes on foot).
CIRCUITS is the official app of the region, to discover hiking, mountain biking, cycling, trail circuits for all levels of practice: family walks, mountain hikes, committed mountain bike circuits, cycle touring on greenways or on small roads... bonus, you will have access to audio tours of the heritage discovery circuits..

HIKES
You are spoiled for choice. From the house, you have access to a multitude of more or less difficult marked paths. I provide you with a guide and IGN maps.

The Tarassac canoe base is located 5 minutes from the house. It offers descents on the Orb upstream from Poujols and downstream to Roquebrun...
La Barraquita, a very nice restaurant/snack on the base, welcomes you non-stop from noon. Karaoke on Tuesday evening, live concert on Thursday evening.
BATHING
10 minutes walk from the house following the yellow markings, you will arrive in the Héric gorges. By passing the footbridge you can go up the gorges and choose your abyss..
At the Tarassac campsite, you have access to a large beach (suitable for very young children) and swimming in the Orb.
But there are also lakes in the region for your swimming. That of Salagou for its beauty, those of Raviège or Laouzas for its freshness and its great difference in landscape...
LA VOIE VERTE
PassaPaïs: from Mazamet to Bédarieux,
at the crossing of the limit between Tarn and Hérault, it crosses the line of the watershed, connecting the oceanic side to the Mediterranean side and earning its Occitan nickname of “PassaPaïs” (Passe-Pays)
It is built on the old Mazamet/Bédarieux railway line.
Over approximately 75 kilometres, it offers a protected area for cycling, jogging, hiking, horseback riding or accompanied by a pack donkey.
