The valley is rich in medieval villages. 20 minutes walk from the house, I invite you to discover St Martin de l'Arçon.

A little further along the Jaur, Olargues, one of the most beautiful villages in France, passing the suspension bridge of Tarrassac, Vieussan, Seps and Roquebrun which parade along the Orb...

THE HÉRIC GORGES

 

10 minutes from the house on foot following the yellow markings, you will reach the Héric gorges. Along the stream, I invite you to discover many waterfalls and chasms, and climb to the hamlet of Héric (1h30 walking normally).

Ideal walk for families, accessible with pushchairs.

It is one of the most beautiful places in the Hérault to enjoy your picnic, sitting on the rocks with the sound of water.

The Museum offers a wonderful journey through time to learn more about the life of our ancestors, the origin of man: their daily life, their stone architecture (megalithism), their funeral rites... The evolution of architecture funerary is traced, daily life is told using objects found on archaeological sites (ceramics, flint tools, polished axes, ornaments, etc.).

The square tower of Colombières SUR Orb

 

Among all nature walks, it's always nice to have a goal... I suggest the dungeon of Colombières-sur-Orb, a freshly renovated archaeological site, a remnant of the old castle of Caroz built in the 14th century.

Listed as historical monuments, this building is located at a place called "le Battut"

The Glass Spinner, an enchanting fairy, pure and majestic, sculpted by water and time, takes us to the origin of the abyss.

The classified site of “La Fileuse de Verre”, the only cave in the Haut-Languedoc Regional Nature Park, is a natural gem that reveals exceptional and grandiose mineral concretions.

At the exit of the cave, the Discovery Space of the underground world and its 3D room complete the visit.
